Service Plus
In this section you can find all sorts of suggestions, which will add those little extras to make your trip special, for those organizing a group tour: |
 |
Guides:
We have worked with our guides right from the beginning. They are more than just simply a TC (as they are commonly called) because they have the advantage of living in Patagonia for all or part of the year and of knowing all of the “picadas” (the right info!). They know about the history, the fauna and the flora and will let you discover and appreciate this region where they have chosen to live.
The guides also have plenty of experience with our excursions and they are able to manage all the logistics of a group, so that everything proceeds according to plan. The only thing for which they cannot be responsible is……… the weather! |
 |
Private transfers:
In order to keep our prices competitive our trips have been arranged using public transport (regular service). Buses are a very popular means of transport here and highly reliable. For a group trip however we can organize your transfers with a private vehicle, this means you have the advantage of being in more control of the journeys, with all the photo stops you might require! We work with drivers whose vehicles are modern. Moreover they are highly appreciated for their good humor, their compliance with the schedules and their knowledge of the routes.

The mountain campsites:
It has become a tradition for us that we particularly enjoy setting up our campsites in the middle of nowhere far from the busy places in the parks. We offer a complete logistic with a cooking tent and individual tents, a cook, as well as all the necessary equipment with horses and porters. Become one of the few who can boast of having slept in the Silencio Valley or high up in the Frances Valley.

Boat trips up the coast:
Patagonia is divided into Chile and Argentina by an enormous expanse of ice called the North and South Patagonian Ice-field. This ice-cap discharges its tongues of ice down the mountainsides towards both the Atlantic and the Pacific. The most famous of these glaciers are undoubtedly Perito Moreno and San Rafael, but there are countless others.
Several fishing boats from Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales have been converted into tourist boats with the aim of offering trips to explore these unknown glaciers and fjords with their abundant fauna and vegetation. It is possible to charter these small boats for one or several days in order to discover these unvisited waters. These fishing families, sea-faring folk, will also share their knowledge and bestow their warm hospitality. |
 |
Life on an estancia:
There was once a time when Patagonia was a true economic empire in Latin America with large estancias (ranches) and considerable livestock breeding. Although this activity has now lessened in scale, the estancias still exist and several specialize in agro-tourism. They offer a chance to experience their way of life and guests can participate in their activities and traditions.

The Asado: (or lamb barbecue):
Have you ever dreamt of an excellent piece of meat cooked over a wood fire and eaten in the open air with the stars up above you? Well you are in luck, only true vegetarians will want to give this treat a miss. We are pleased to be able to include an “asado” in your program whenever possible on a traditional estancia or farm. |
