If you are interested in visiting other areas in Chile or Argentina we can offer you some recommendations suitable for either before or after a visit to our region.
Here are some of our preferred trips which we frequently recommend.

A few days in the capital:

We can reserve a hotel for you in Santiago or in Buenos Aires to coincide with your arrival or departure date. Why not spend a few days visiting the capital of the tango? We can also arrange your airport transfers and reserve a guided visit around the most famous districts of these capitals.

Valparaiso:

This city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and we always recommend a day trip or a night spent in this port for those who are going to be arriving in Chile. The attractive, multi-colored houses clinging to the hills, Pablo Neruda’s house and the funicular railways laboriously ascending the steep slopes all offer a fascinating day’s outing.

The Island of Chiloe:

A mass of green in the middle of the ocean, the Island of Chiloe with its exceptionally wet climate is an absolute must for those who are interested in diverse cultures. We recommend you explore the island with a guide who will show you the best way to appreciate this unique corner of Chile with its distinctive heritage, culture and legends.

The volcanoes of Araucania:

This is a completely unique region in the north of Patagonia which is particularly remarkable for its volcanoes that are still active. These volcanoes, with their snow capped summits silhouetted on the horizon, are the Mount Fuji of the Andes and are superb peaks to climb in a day. We recommend you take a tour with a very professional team based in Pucon. They can also take you to visit some of the many thermal springs which are very agreeable after a day of hiking.

The region of the lakes:

Many people only visit the city of Puerto Montt, but the surrounding area is an absolute must for its amazing nature and scenery. Volcanoes, abundant forests, rivers and lakes offer an ideal playground for trekking, rafting, canyoning and sea kayaking. We invite you to discover this area with a locally based French-speaking travel company.

The Valdes Peninsula:

Classified as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, the Valdès Peninsula is one of the most unique animal sanctuaries in the world. On a two or three day tour you can visit many of the penguin, sea lion and elephant seal colonies which populate the Peninsula and from June to December orca and right whales can be observed. For wildlife lovers Valdes is an absolute must-see destination.

The Carretera Austral (southern highway)

This mythical road allows you to discover an area which is still relatively unfrequented. The villages and traditional farms tell of a Chile from another epoch, the route is surrounded by a virgin and impenetrable natural environment and there are mountains and glaciers not even marked on the maps. A journey down the southern highway will offer a truly fascinating trip. You can travel by bus or use private transport; accommodation can be in traditional hostels or attractive lodges. The section between Coyhaique and Villa O Higgins is an absolutely unique area some of which passes along the banks of Lake General Carrera, one of the largest lakes in Latin America.
